    • She was possibly his 2nd wife. William Roe Doty left Tompkins Co., NY with his family about 1856/7 and spent a year either in Illinois or Wisconsin before settling in Minnesota. He purchased land the 1st of June, 1865 as per Deed Record #23, Nicollet Co., MN (recorded Vol. #496, p. 236, Gen. Land Office, Bounty Patent). The three children (below) are mentioned by name in the will dated Sept. 15, 1897. (Doty)
